Ask what the station needs to operate
Portable stations differ in operation, storage and supply arrangements. Confirm the offered model, how it is used and what is provided with it. Discuss fresh water, collection of used water, soap and drying supplies rather than assuming every item is included.
Explain whether washing supports restroom users alone or another activity as well. A toilet-area station should not automatically be treated as a suitable food-preparation or specialist hygiene facility.
Put the wash point in the everyday route
Consider the path from the toilets back to the activity, enough room for people waiting and a stable approved position. Keep approaches clear for people using mobility aids. Ask the site contact to check the arrangement once other equipment is in place.
Where facilities serve separate activity areas, describe those areas to the rental team. One station in a convenient spot for organisers may be inconvenient for the people actually using it.
Decide who checks supplies
Clarify what the provider handles during agreed service visits and who reports shortages between them. Tell the team about long operating hours, repeated groups or unusually heavy use. Do not introduce unapproved chemicals or alter the station’s setup.
For a Port Orange request, send the location, timetable and restroom arrangement so washing can be considered as part of the whole hire.
